The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Muhammadu Mohammed says the Agency is committed to improving the skills and technical know-how of staff in disaster management.
The DG gave the assurances at Enugu, South East Nigeria during the First Aid certification/recertification trainings for staff of the Agency in the zone.
The NEMA boss represented by the southeast Zonal Coordinator, Fred Anusim, said basic first aid skills is one of the critical components of disaster management and very important for NEMA staff in view of their tasks as provided in their mandate.

The Basic First Aid training courses being organised by NEMA are for the certification of its staff that is being trained for the first time as well as the recertification of those that have been trained previously.
