The new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ambassador George Obiozor says security and safety of Ndigbo will be the priority of his administration.
He said this on Tuesday at a World Press conference at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo national headquarters in Enugu.
Ambassador Obiozor described his emergence as the new President General of the apex Ndigbo socio-cultural organization as a true demonstration of the need for a leadership that will reflect the aspirations and values of the Igbo people.
He said the security of Ndigbo in the country has become a compelling primary responsibility, adding that the time has come for Igbos at home and in the diaspora to come together and forge a common goal of unity and love.

On the economy, the new Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership says the organization will continue to encourage, support and advance the course of domestic and foreign investment in Igbo land.
On the issue of restructuring, the President General of Ohanaeze says the body believes in equity and fairness by bringing governance on a level playing field to all.
He thanked the governors of the South East region and other stakeholders for their support in the election of the new leadership.
