The Nigerian Police in Gombe says it would pursue four cardinal principles in tackling crime in the state.
These are intelligence gathering, zero tolerance to corruption, ensuring the rights of the average Nigerian, and community policing.
The New Commissioner of police for Gombe State, Ishola Babaita, disclosed this while addressing the press on resumption of duty.
The commissioner of police assured the people of Gombe of the command’s desire to ensure the state remains safe for its residents.

Ishola Babaita stressed that the new approach in fighting crime will be devoid of corruption, adding that it would help in fast-tracking renewed confidence in the activities of the police command.
