The National Human rights commission says it will hold accountable perpetrators of human rights violations during Saturday’s elections in Nigeria.
The Commission’s Executive secretary, Tony Ojukwu, said this during the launch of the 2023 General Elections Human Rights Situation Room in Abuja.
The national human rights commission chief Tony Ojukwu added that the Situation Room was set up to receive reports of the human rights violations issues during the elections.

The commission appealed to all law enforcement and security agencies to adhere strictly to the commission’s guidelines on law enforcement to ensure protection of voters during the elections.
Ojukwu, however wants Nigerians to come out and vote and report any human rights violations to the short code 6472 or 08006472428.
The situation room which opened on Thursday February 23, 2023 is to operate for 24 hours and will close on Wednesday for the presidential and national assembly elections.
