Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has announced the imposition of daily curfew in the state, with effect from Wednesday, March 25 from 8 pm to 8 am.
The Governor stated this in a statewide broadcast on the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria and the level of preparedness and measures taken to prevent an outbreak in the state.

The state Chief Executive directed that all civil servants on grade level 1-12 are to stay at home, except those on essential services.
Governor Bello further directed traditional leaders to ensure that all Almajiri schools in their communities are closed.
The Governor also directed that all public offices, including Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, must provide hand washing items at the entrance of their offices and facilities.
He advised the general public to be vigilant and adhere strictly to personal hygiene and social distancing, as well as seek medical attention when necessary.
