Nigeria and Brazil are exploring opportunities to expand bilateral economic relations, with promoters of a new initiative setting a target of 30 billion dollars over the next decade.
The target was highlighted at a Brazil Nigeria Business Celebration in Lagos, where diplomatic and business leaders also pushed for stronger trade, investment and connectivity between both countries.
Nigeria and Brazil share longstanding diplomatic and cultural ties, but attention at this gathering is turning to how that relationship can deliver greater economic opportunities.
The Brazilian Consul General said improved connectivity between both countries could support increased trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchange.
Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, commended efforts by the Brazilian Consulate to strengthen relations between the two countries, saying closer links would encourage greater movement and interaction between their people and businesses.

Founders of Diplomatic Vista and Nike Art Gallery said the initiative seeks to expand bilateral economic relations, with a proposed target of 30 billion dollars over the next decade.
The event also showcased Nigerian culture and heritage through artworks and cultural performances, as participants explored opportunities for stronger economic and people to people relations between Nigeria and Brazil.
