The Chinese government has announced that strategies are being put in place to strengthen the diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria as both nations mark 50 years of robust relations.
Director China Cultural Center,Li Xuda, said this in Abuja as activities to commemorate the Anniversary of the diplomatic relations begin.
According to Li Xuda,
Nigeria-China relations have made great achievements through exchanges and cooperation in all fields such as education, economy and socio-cultural, among others.
Li recalled that the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Li visited Nigeria on January 4, 2021 as part of efforts to deepen diplomatic relations between both countries.

Director Center for China Studies, Charles Onanuju wants the Federal Government to mainstream the Belt and Road Initiative into Nigeria’s Foreign Policy.
According to Onanuju and other speakers at the event, the BRI Initiative and the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) are key drivers to advancing the cooperation and cultural bridge between Nigeria and China.
They commended the diplomatic relations in the past 50 years, saying strategic platforms like the BRI and FOCAC need to be strenghtened to advance the relations for the next 50 years.
