Nigeria discharges 519 Covid-19 patients, records 501 new cases in 15 states

There are 519 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in last 24 hours. These include 208 in the Federal Capital Territory, 126 in Kaduna State and 35 in Lagos State who recovered from community-based management of their infections. Nigeria has now successfully treated 68,303 Covid-19 cases.

Meanwhile, there are 15 states reporting 501 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 78,434.

The states with new Covid-19 cases include Lagos-218; FCT-112; Kaduna-53; Plateau-24; Katsina-21; Kano-16 and Yobe-14.

Others states with new Covid-19 infections are Ondo-10; Ogun-9; Edo-7; Bayelsa-5; Rivers and Borno-4 each; Osun and Ekiti-2 each.

There are 3 more people who died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll now put at 1,221.
