Nigeria Government faults CNN report on Lekki Shooting

The Federal government has described October 2020 shooting at the Lekki Tollgate as a Massaccre without bodies maliciously corcorted to give security agencies a bad image.

At a news conference in Abuja on Thursday, the minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed proposed the Sanctioning of International media outfits CNN and BBC for using Unverifiable social media footages as proof of the killing.

He did not however state who to mete out the sanction.

The Minister said the ‘so called Massaccre’ was maliciously manipulated and concorted to paint a bad image for Government

The Nigerian Information minister read out nine key Resolutioms at the briefing with a demand that Human Right Organisations and international community show more understanding of the situation in the country and that DJ Switch should make the evidence of the Lekki massacre available to the judicial panel of Enquiry sitting in Lagos
