The Nigerian Army has said will be counting on the experience of veterans to meet the yearnings of citizens to stem the tides of insecurity in the country.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya made this known at the Second Quarter Veterans’ workshop in Kaduna.

Nigeria is currently faced with enormous security challenges with the northwest now being the epicentre of banditary and terrorism.
Addressing veterans in Kaduna on Monday, Yahaya sought their assistance especially in the areas of information gathering to improve security in the nation.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, in a message, delivered by the Chief of Administration, Major General Usman Mohammed said the veterans are a force multiplier in its operations stressing that leveraging on their experience is key in his defence strategy.
He said the theme for this year’s workshop “Leveraging veterans experience in furtherance of Army operations’ is apt and timely.
