The Nigerian Governors say that, they will discuss with the Federal Government, on the suspension of state counterpart funding requirements, for accessing the Universal Basic Education Committee (UBEC) funds.
This was one of the resolution reached at the end of the 14th Teleconference meeting of the Governors’ Forum.
The move they say will help in resolving the difficulty in accessing funds for the development of Basic Education in Nigeria.
The forum had adopted the report of the National Economic Council Ad-hoc Committee on Covid-19 which recommended the immediate suspension of the requirements for state counterpart funding.
