The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has directed the withdrawal of the services of Petroleum Tanker Drivers from Lagos State with effect from Monday, 10th August 2020.
The Union said the action followed the failure of various authorities in the State to address issues that have severely caused pains and bitter experience for petroleum tanker drivers in the State.
The union said it was sad and disheartening that despite several appeals to Lagos State Government and the Presidential Task Force for Decongestion of Apapa; nothing concrete has been done to address the concerns of tanker drivers in the State.
