Management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, says no youth corps member in any of its orientation camps is Covid-19 positive.

The authorities stated this while reacting to reports making the rounds about some youth corps members testing positive to Covid-19 in Lagos, Kano and FCT Camps.

The statement says that the NYSC is in collaboration with the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, NCDC, that is maintaining very strong presence in all the NYSC camps nationwide.

The NYSC authorities explain that as a proactive measure, all prospective corps members were tested for Covid-19 before being admitted into the orientation camps with those that tested positive handed over to NCDC for treatment and management.

It assures the general public that the 37 Orientation Camps of the Scheme are safe, as Covid-19 preventive protocols are being strictly adhered to with no cause for alarm
