The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has sworn in Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants from the one hundred and ninety-two wards of the State with a charge to assist his administration in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.
The swearing-in ceremony held in Benin City.
The appointments come less than a month after Governor Obaseki sacked two hundred and forty-six Political Aides, from the one hundred and ninety-two wards of Edo State.
He had promised to reappoint persons who will key into his vision of transforming the State.
Seven weeks later, the Governor has sworn in Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to replace the sacked aides.
Governor Obaseki charged them to be worthy Ambassadors of their wards and Local Government Areas and assist in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people especially those in the grassroots.
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Anselm Ojezua lauded the Governor on the mode of appointments.
The Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants say they will enhance efficient service delivery to the people.
