Visitor of the institution of higher learning, Governor Godwin Obaseki addressed graduands and dignitaries present at the event.
The Governor shared his opinion on the convocation lecture earlier delivered by a former Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Tonnie Iredia which bordered on fake news: rethinking the role of mainstream and social media in national development.
He spoke on the responsibility of journalists in the dissemination of information with particular emphasis on the 2023 general elections.
On education, the visitor noted that the tertiary institution has continued to grow in leaps and bounds over the years.
He announced automatic employment for the graduating students who distinguished themselves in their academic pursuits.
