The trial of the five suspects in the 2018 Offa bank robbery was stalled on Wednesday because of COVID-19.
Justice Halimat Salman had adjourned the case last week to this Wednesday but a circular from the office of the Chief Registrar, Kwara State High Court directed all staff below grade level 14 to work from home.
This is to ensure curtailment of the spread of COVID-19 as Kwara State steadily records spike in positive cases.
The five suspects standing trial were brought to the court but the court was under lock while prosecuting and defence counsel did not show up.
It is not clear when next the court will sit on the case.
