Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has offered automatic employment to 3 healthcare workers in Ondo State who contracted the deadly COVID-19 disease while on duty.

The three workers including a driver are casual staff at the Ondo State Infectious Disease Hospital.
Governor Akeredolu says the 2 healthcare workers are among the 4 persons who recently tested positive to Coronavirus in the State with a police officer being the fourth case.
They are to be given immediate employment into the State Civil Service Commission after contracting the rampaging Coronavirus at their points of duty.
The statement says the Governor has also approved that all healthcare workers in the State be paid 50% of their consolidated basic salary as hazard allowance.
