The strike planned by the organised labour in Kano State over deduction of workers salaries due to Covid-19 pandemic has been suspended.
The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC and the Joint Negotiating Council, JNC had given the Kano State Government 14 days ultimatum to reverse the deduction or face industrial action from Tuesday, June 23.
However in a statement signed by the State NLC Chairman, Kabiru Minjibir the strike action is suspended following agreement with the government on 5 points demands by the unions.

The statement is however silent on the specific terms of agreement reached but expressed appreciation for the understanding of all stakeholders hoping that the resolutions reached will be implemented.
