Osun Police deny arresting EndSARS protesters

The Police in Osun State have debunked the report that two people were arrested for being administrators of a WhatsApp group used for mobilisation for #EndSARS protest in the state.

The report says that one Babawale Popoola and Fisayo Aderemi, were arrested and have been in detention since Thursday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, in connection with the ENDSARS protest.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state,  Yemisi Opalola said, the persons that were arrested were the hoodlums who masterminded the looting of the government and private property during the ENDSARS protest. 

She said, the suspects will soon be prosecuted.
