Oyo State Government says all is set to commence the distribution of five million insecticide-treated nets to communities across the 33 Local Government Areas in the state.
The state Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed this at the flag-off ceremony in Ibadan.

Statistics show that around 400,000 people die every year as a result of malaria globally, particularly in children.
In a bid to combat this scourge, the Oyo state government is set to distribute five million insecticide-treated nets.
Though there has been remarkable progress in tackling malaria in Nigeria lots of effort is still needed.
Malaria still remains a major health challenge in Nigeria and the state government is promising to work with donors to eradicate the disease in the state.
The USAID handed over the mosquito nets to the state for distribution.
