As the Rivers state government continues to commission new projects across the twenty-three local government areas in the state, the people of Ozuzu in the Etche local government area have decried the dilapidated state of the road In and around their community.
Some residents who spoke to ait. live in Etche complained that commuters who ply the road find It difficult during the raining season.
With the gridlock presently witnessed along Port Harcourt- Owerri road due to the bad state of the road, most commuters have resorted to using the Etche link road to Okpala junction, a major gateway to Imo and other neighbouring states.
Former president, General Ogbakor Ozuzu General Assembly Felix Ordu, and the paramount ruler, Sylvanus Amaefule appealed to the Rivers state government to come to their assistance.

Indigenes and commuters who are also worried over the dilapidated link road appealed to other Government Interventionist Agencies to ameliorate their sufferings.
The Ozuzu people who the road transverse through their community are however optimistic that fixing the dilapidated road which is an inter-state link road will also bring about meaningful development as Etche local government area is the food basket of the state.
