The primary elections of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the State House of Assembly and Federal House of Representatives earlier scheduled on Sunday, did not hold in Ebonyi State.
A new date of Tuesday, 24th May 2022 been fixed for the exercise.
The State Party’s Publicity Secretary, Chika Nwoba who confirmed the new date via SMS, was silent on the reason for the shift, but notes that few other State including Anambra, were also affected.
A source told AIT that the shift may not be unconnected with the internal party differences, especially with the inability of the various contending groups to reconcile the recent Ward and LGA ad-hoc delegates lists.
