The National Vice Chairman South-South of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Chairman of Edo State Campaign Council for the September 19 Governorship election, Dan Orbih has called on the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC to concentrate on his 2023 presidential ambition and leave Governor Godwin Obaseki and Edo people alone.
Orbih stated this at a media briefing held in Benin City in reaction to the letter written by a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu titled “In defence of constitutional democracy” wherein he accused Governor Obaseki of committing impeachable offences. Tinubu also accused Obaseki of dictatorship over the attempt by members-elect to take over the State House of Assembly for their inauguration.
Orbih who said the members-elect were not kept out explained that the State Assembly is undergoing renovation and wonders why it bothers the APC National Leader especially when similar work was carried out under the prevous administration. He insists that Edo is not Lagos and as such, will resist anyone trying to dictate to them the way they should go.
