A 3-day golf tournament tagged “1st governor’s cup golf” has begun in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State with professionals and amateur golfers from across Nigeria and other African countries in participation.

At the inaugural and tee-off of the tournament which also witnessed the commissioning of the Governor Douye Diri Golf Lounge, former President Goodluck Jonathan who was a special guest and a golfer complimented the efforts of the government, noting that the golf course will attract tourism potentials and boost the state’s economy.

The Bayelsa Golf course is an 18 holes facility with eight lakes, covering over 180,000 square metres with one used as an Aqua Driving Ranger.
