Players and officials of Rovers Football Club, Calabar have undergone COVID-19 and Electroencephalographic (ECG) tests as mandated by the Nigeria National League (NNL)
The screening according to the managers of the team was in compliance with the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) directives ahead of the commencement of the 2020/2021 football season.
Chairman of Calabar Rovers FC ,Ebam Ejen, who also joined in the testing queue thanked governor Ben Ayade for the support given to the Club in realizing the set objectives for the team in 2020/2021 season starting with the covid 19 test.

Speaking on the partnership between the State Ministry of Health and Rovers FC, the Commissioner for Health and Chairman of Cross River State COVID-19 Taskforce, Dr Betta Edu, said the Ministry sees the partnership as a way of supporting the club in its desire to achieve good result in the Nigeria National League.
The tests which were conducted at the General Hospital Calabar, followed the new partnership between Rovers FC and the Cross River State Ministry of Health.Electroencephalographic test is vital to check the state of the heart of each of the players to ascertain their fitness or otherwise.
