Police arrest suspects over Akpuna killings in Benue State

The Police say they have arrested a notorious criminal suspect, Terhemen Mzaga, also known as “Fullfire,” and five others in connection with the gruesome murder of innocent people in Akpuna community on July 21, 2023, in Ukum LGA of Benue State, North-Central Nigeria.

Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Sewuese Anene, disclosed this in a statement. According to her, the police also arrested one Sonter Felix Tyozughul in connection with the abduction of the resident doctor at General Hospital Ukum.

The police spokesperson added that the other suspects arrested are Odoonku Sunday Kusuv, Msughter Nyieyem, Terkaa Tayough, and Liambee Adeadegh, also known as Don-Konyo.

Weapons recovered from the suspects include nine (9) rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition.
