With the news of Maryam Sanda, who has been convicted and sentenced to death by hanging for killing her husband still in the air, a middle-aged married woman has been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command in Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesman of the Police Command, Gambo Isah, said the incident occurred in Danjanku community of Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state.

The Police spokesperson said that the deceased husband, simply identified as Malam Shamsu, was said to have been rushed to the Galadima Abdullahi General Hospital, Malumfashi, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The wife, whose name is yet to be ascertained, was said to have killed Shamsu after an argument between them.
Isah further said that the woman has been arrested while an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
