Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko has assured citizens of the protection of their lives and properties as her Command begins investigation into arson and breach of peace in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area.
The police chief also appealed for extreme caution to avoid the situation degenerating into a total breakdown of law and order. Onadeko together with the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Security, Fatai Owoseni and the Deputy Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas Francis Alao who is the Olugbon of Orile Igbon visited the community on Sunday.

She advised the restive youths to sheath their swords and shun violence in addressing the complex situation at hand. The Police Commissioner also called for calm and solicited the support of the people in ensuring that the State is safe and secured
