Renewed cult clashes have claimed 4 lives in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital in the last 24 hours.
The renewed cult related deaths in the city , began with the killing of a middle aged man named Toyin Ayinde and another unidentified person, in the Omoda area of Ilorin metropolis.
Eyewitness account says, the incident which happened around 11 o clock in the night involved 4 assailants
According to a resident of the affected area, who traced the genesis of the renewed clashes, some suspected cultists numbering about ten, stormed Gambari area of Ilorin last night, in search of a member of a rival group who was lucky not to be at home when they visited and thus resorted to vandalising properties in sight, including that of his neighbours in metropolis.

Alabi Abubakar, One of the deceased, was however mauled down in front of a popular tricycle assembling company in Amilengbe area of Ilorin metropolis while another victim was reportedly killed closed to the Ipata market filing station.
Speaking on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi while confirming the clashes , called for calm and promised that the command is on top of the situation adding that they will bring the culprits to book.
