Luck ran out of two notorious one-chance robbers after they succeeded in snatching and carting away items from an unsuspecting victim along new Nyanya en route to Area 1, Abuja as they were arrested by police officers who trailed them after the crime.
The Nasarawa State Police command made this known in a press statement made available to journalists in Lafia, the state capital.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel said that information was received that suspected armed robbers with a Toyota Corolla 1994 model with Reg. No. Benue MKD 77 TF picked up an unsuspecting passenger from New Nyanya en route Area 1, Abuja, but robbed the passenger of her handbag, iPhone and other valuables and threw their victim out of the moving vehicle.

He said on receipt of the information, the Police operatives attached to New Karu Area command in collaboration with public-spirited individuals gave the criminals a hot chase and intercepted their vehicle.
Consequently, the duo of John Iorfa 29yrs and James Agbo 37yrs based in Makurdi, Benue State were arrested and items earlier robbed from the victim were recovered.
The Police disclosed that the suspects have made useful statements and that effort is ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate.
