Poultry farmers in the southwest of Nigeria, have appealed to the federal government, to save the industry from total collapse, as over five million Jobs are threatened, as a result of the lingering crisis of grains shortage, especially maize and soya.
While addressing journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, the Poultry farmers urged the Federal government, to look into the relaxation of the ban placed on maize, as local production cannot meet the demand.

They say, this has also led to the acute scarcity and astronomical prizes of poultry produce in the country.
