The Police Officers Wife Association, POWA, has promised to give adequate attention to the Education, Health and Welfare of wives and children of the Officers and men of the Nigerian Police.
President of POWA and wife of the Inspector General of Police, Hajara Alkali Baba made the promise during her visit to the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dauda at the State Police Headquarters, Lokoja.
Since assumption of office, Hajara Alkali Baba has visited nine states, with Kogi the tenth where welfare issue about wives of police officers tops her agenda.
Accompanied by state chairpersons and other members of her executive, the POWA president was received in Lokoja by the State Commissioner of Police Idrisu Dauda at the police command headquarters.
Hajara Alkali said the welfare of wives and children of police personnel is her priority.

The rising cases of rape and insecurity across the country and how the cases are treated was also in focus.
The POWA President and her executives were later received by the Wife of Kogi State Governor, Rashidat Bello, where she will interacted with widows of police officers.
