President Muhammadu Buhari arrives at Maiduguri on a condolence visit to the government and the people of Borno State over the killing of passengers in Auno by Boko Haram terrorists.
The President flew into Maiduguri from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, after the 33rd African Union Summit and his one-day state visit.
Just before the media was excused from the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, called on cabinet members to observe a minute silence in honour of those killed by Boko Haram in Maiduguri, Borno State and the former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Patrick Seubo Koshoni, who died on January 25, 2020.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over the weekly FEC meeting.
The meeting, which has in attendance Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Head of Service, Folashade Esan, and ministers, commenced at exactly 11 am.
