Footage of an unarmed black man being held down by police in New York- who later died, has emerged.
The incident involving Daniel Purdue happened in March, during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States, but has only come to the fore after the authorities agreed to the release of the bodycam video.
An investigation is reportedly on, though the officers involved in the incident, are still in active duty.
Thirty-two year old Prudue was put in a hold- face down- and upon telling the officers he had coronavirus, a mesh-like object was placed over his head for approximately two minutes.

Prudue, said to be having mental illness, died in hospital seven days later.
