Nigerians in Diaspora have donated Personal Protective Equipment, PPEs worth N48 million to the Presidential Task Force On Covid-19 to support the country’s fight against the pandemic.
Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Zubairu Dada alongside the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM Abike Dabiri-Erewa presented the items to the PTF in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Minister acknowledged the contributions of Nigerians in Diaspora and urged them not to forget home. The NIDCOM Chairman explained that every state is captured in the distribution of the PPEs for frontline medical and paramedical staff in all the country’s teaching hospitals across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

PTF National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu and the Permanent Secertary, General Services Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation who received the items on behalf of the Chairman of the Taskforce said the donations will escalate areas of coverage especially for the frontline workers.
The items donated were all produced in Nigeria by Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas, Nigerian Diaspora Covid-19 Support Group and the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas, ANPA.
