The House of Representatives in a rowdy session over move to compel Mr President to address the house on the security situation in the country, especially on the killings of over 43 rice farmers in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
The motion of Urgent National Importance, moved by Members from Borno State, called for a State Of Emergency in the nation’s security.
The House is however worried by the inability of the military and other security forces to avert the continued killings by Boko Haram insurgents, bandits, and the terrorism in the North East and across the country.

The House therefore said that there is urgent need for the president to reorganise the security architecture of the country, to end the wanton killings in the country.
The House desolved into an executive session to deliberate on whether or not the president should be invited over the non abetting security situation in the country.
