National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, has called on state governors to domesticate the residency act to eliminate the issues of funding of Resident Doctors at the teaching hospitals.
The Resident Doctors made their plea to the Governor Of Gombe State Inuwa Yahaya during a courtesy call to the state government to mark the end of their National Executive meeting in Gombe.
Their mission is to celebrate the achievements of the state government in the upliftment of medical facilities as well as to drum up support for the residency act for Resident Doctors in Gombe.

The state government promised to support the cause of the doctors but insists on their cooperation.
The doctors say they would continue to press for their rights even at the time the country is facing the covid-19 pandemic.
