The minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono says his ministry is working tirelessly to ensure that Nigeria is ranked amongst the top 10 producing nations in the world in the next 2 years.
The minister who stated this in a chat with AIT.live after a virtual meeting on Technological Agriculture in Abuja, called for collaboration from actors in the sector in the response to the threat posed by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
He said Nigeria is blessed with so many Agriculture potentials and its wide range of climate variations allows it to produce a variety of food and cash crops.

Nanono said government has curbed the importation of food items so as to boost food security and thus encouraging more farmers to produce and increase their productivity.
