Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says with the death of the Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Retired Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga, the region has lost a major voice.
Governor Wike who said this during a condolence visit to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel at Government House, Uyo said he was also saddened by the death earlier in the week of the Akwa Ibom state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Udo Ekpenyong.
He said the Rivers State government is prepared to provide support for the late PANDEF chairman’s funeral and called on the governor, the deceased’s family and the people of the state to take heart over the recent loss of prominent persons from the state.

He described Governor Emmanuel as a man of integrity and a lover of his people and said he knows how this will affect him.
Governor Udom Emmanuel expressed appreciation to Governor Wike for his show of support and described the loss of the prominent persons of the state in the last few weeks as a traumatic experience.
