The Federal Government has announced that Chartered flights will depart Nigeria on Wednesday to pick up 2,100 Nigerian evacuees from neighbouring countries surrounding Ukraine back home.
So far, the evacuees received by the Nigerian Embassy are as follows, Hungary 650 persons, Poland 350, Romania 940 and Slovakia 150 persons.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gabriel Aduda.

The capacity and routes of the airline are as follows, Max Air going to Romanian to pick 560 persons, AirPeace going to Poland for 364 persons and Hungary for 360 persons respectively.
The first batch of the evacuees are expected to arrive Nigeria on 3rd March 2022
