APR Football Club of Rwanda have been crowned champions of the 2019-2020 Season following the abrupt end of the league due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The team was leading the table with 7 point advantage at match day 23 of the 30 game season.
Reports say majority of the clubsides in the Rwandan league voted in favour of awarding the title to APR.
With this latest development, APR are now champions for a record extending 18th time and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League.

Gicumbi and Heroes FC placed 15th and 16th respectively and will be relegated to the Second Division while the runners up Rayon Sports are expected to play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
