Ahead of schools resumption in Cross River State,the government has begun the fumigation of some public schools across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
The Chairman of COVID-19 response Team in the State,Dr Betta Edu said the exercise is aimed at protecting and safeguarding pupils, students , management and staff of public schools against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Edu who was on an inspection visit with the secretary of the respose team, Asuquo Ekpeyong said a directive has been handed down to operators of private schools in the state to also carry out the same exercise before schools resumption.

The covid-19 Team had trained healthcare workers who have been posted to schools across the state.
The government called on parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards are properly kitted with face masks and sanitisers , with assurance that government will also make provisions at the schools premises.
