The National Working Committee of the Social Democratic Party SDP has called for a special panel of enquiry to investigate attacks on opposition in Kogi state.
At a media briefing in Abuja, the SDP National Secretary, Olu Agunloye said the attacks in the state posed serious challenge to national democracy, and require urgent national attention.
As Kogi State prepares for the November Governorship Election in November, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, says it is worried about the insecurity, and what it described as sponsored attacks on SDP and other opposition political parties in the state.
The Party called on President Bola Tinubu and the Inspector General of Police to urgently stop the alleged political extremism in Kogi state.
SDP also want the Federal Government to help the people of Kogi state and its candidate Murtala to guarantee a safe campaign environment ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Kogi state.
