There is now heavy presence of security operatives in Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria, a little over a week after an attack by Boko Haram was repelled in the communities.
AIT captured the heavy presence of the military, the police and the local vigilante, while on a two-day tour of the areas with Governor Umaru Fintiri.
The Governor assured the residents of his administration’s commitment to secure their lives and properties.
He also informed them of the newly created Ministry of Rehabilitation, Reintegration, Reconstruction and Humanitarian Affairs.

While on the tour to identify with his people, the Governor spent his nights in Gulak village in Madagali LGA which is his ancestral home.
After the attempted attacks by Boko Haram insurgents on Michika and Madagali, the government beefed up security with increased deployment to the areas.

The people of the affected areas say, the increased presence of security forces in their dormains gives them confidence to go about their normal activities without fear.
