The meeting between the Senate and Service Chiefs over rising insecurity scheduled to hold today has been postponed till Thursday due to the National Security Council meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at which the service Chiefs are in attendance.
The upper legislative chamber last week reached a resolution asking the newly appointed Service Chiefs to appear before it to provide an explanation for the rising wave of insecurity in the country.

The Senate’s decision followed a motion by Senator Sani Musa(APC, NigerEast) which drew attention to attacks by Boko Haram Insurgents and bandits on 42 communities in Niger State.
The Senate had requested a private session with President Muhammadu Buhari also over the current security situation in the country.
