The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district, Rochas Okorocha, has condemned the killing of rice farmers in Borno state by boko haram members , stressing that the killing is an insult to the country.
Senator Rochas, stated this when he paid a condolence visit to the Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule, following the murder of the state APC Chairman Philip Shekwo, in Lafia the state capital.

Okorocha noted that the kidnappings and killings in the country has become too many without concrete actions been taken.
The former Imo State Governor, also urged the federal government to consider changing the service chiefs if that is what the country needs to end the wanton killings.
In his response, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State used the visit to announce the arrest of a notorious kidnapper, Mohammed Usman known as Dopa Moh, and 9 others, by security agencies who confessed to killing the state APC chairman Philip Shekwo.
Governor Sule further stated that investigations are still on to arrest more and more persons involved in Philip Shekwo “s murder.
