South Africa has received its first consignment of one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The crates of the vaccine produced by British pharmaceutical firm, Oxford Astrazeneca arrived at the Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg this afternoon from India.

South Africa is the most affected country on the continent, and has recorded almost a million and a half cases, with over 44, 000 fatalities.
