The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Titus Uba, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The development was made public by his Chief Press Secretary, Lubiem Tiav, who said that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had taken the sample of Uba along with four other members of the Assembly.
Tiav also stated that the Speaker and his son tested positive for the virus.

He further disclosed that modalities have been put in place to get all members of the State Assembly and staff tested to ascertain their status.
He also advised all who might have come in contact with the speaker within the last few days to submit themselves for testing.
