Political Stakeholders in Niger State, have assured the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC of all the support it requires, to conduct a credible, free, and fair bye-election next month.
The stakeholders gave the assurance at a meeting held at the commission’s headquarters in Minna, the Niger State Capital in North Central Nigeria.
Drawn from the participating political parties, the Civil Society Organizations, the security, among others, they discussed issues of concern, preparatory to the February sixth Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency bye-election.
In his response Professor Samuel Ugwu the Niger State Resident Electoral Commissioner promises a transparent free, fair and credible by-election.

But the All Progressives Congress APC, will not field a candidate, as a result of a court injunction, following the presentation of a wrong candidate in the 2019 National Assembly election.
