Youth groups and students have asked state governments in Nigeria to either begin construction of new primary healthcare centres or the rehabilitation of existing ones or face nationwide protests in the next two weeks.
The groups at a briefing in Abuja blamed what they called the lackadaisical attitude of state governors to healthcare development for the recent rapid spread of COVID-19 in the country.

They also want tertiary institutions to ensure covid-19 protocols are observed by students on campuses, both at the lecture halls and hostels
The groups include,the National youth council of Nigeria, NYCN, Nigeria Youths Union, National Association of Nigerian Students and the National association of polytechnics and colleges of education students associations
